Description of the second year summer program Harper Grey LLP is looking for summer students with an interest in developing their practical and legal skills.

The firm's goal is to help students build a comprehensive skill set as young lawyers. The summer articling experience at Harper Grey may include: working as a junior at a trial or administrative hearing, preparing for a mediation or an examination for discovery, assisting in witness and client interviews, drafting pleadings, affidavits and applications for court or chambers, working on securities and commercial documents and handling your own small claims files. Every student's experience is different but all gain skills and confidence by the end of the summer.

Summer articling students are supported in a very collegial atmosphere. Each student is paired with an experienced lawyer as principal. Our summer student program has been thoughtfully designed to help students succeed. If our summer student positions interest you, please send us your application.

Description of articling program Harper Grey LLP normally hires 2-3 articling students in the August 3L recruit. However, with returning clerks and summer students, we will not be hiring in August 2023 for 2024 articles. We expect to resume the 3L recruit in August 2024 for 2025 articles.

Harper Grey LLP is interested in hiring articling students who want to develop their practical and legal skills. The firm's goal is to help students build a comprehensive skill set as young lawyers. The articling experience at Harper Grey may include: working as a junior at a trial or administrative hearing, preparing for a mediation or an examination for discovery, assisting in witness and client interviews, drafting pleadings, affidavits and applications for court or chambers, working on securities and commercial documents and handling your own small claims files. Every student's experience is different but all gain skills and confidence by the end of their articling term. All articling students will spend roughly 10 weeks in a rotation through our business law practice group which will expose them to a variety of commercial tasks and give them a good idea of what a solicitor's practice looks like. Our articling students are supported in a very collegial atmosphere. All students have their own office and work with an experienced Legal Assistant. Each student is paired with a partner as principal. If our articling program interests you, please send us your application.

Comments For our summer positions, students must be able to meet the Law Society's requirements for obtaining temporary articles.

We have hired foreign trained students as articled students in the past and are happy to accept applications.
