Description of first year summer program: |
Right from the start, BLG Toronto offers a summer program designed to provide students with direct and in-depth involvement in a variety of practice areas within either the Business or Disputes groups.
Your summer starts with a comprehensive orientation to BLG and all its resources. You will also attend seminars to learn about the many types of law we practice. You will meet your mentors who will answer your questions about the Firm, the work, and life in the legal profession. The type of work undertaken by BLG summer students is much the same as that undertaken by articling students or junior associates and can range from assisting with all aspects of a closing, research, drafting contracts and pleadings, and carriage of small claims court files. BLG lawyers are encouraged to assist you in learning about the practice of law by, for example, inviting you to business meetings with clients, discoveries and/or making court appearances. Our aim is to provide insight, challenging work and an educational experience. |
